Effective January 1, 2018, 2 5/8” bats used in Dixie Boys Baseball play must meet new performance standards established by USA Baseball, the national governing body of amateur baseball in the United States. The new bats will be available for purchase in September 2017. BBCOR bats will continue to be allowed for Dixie Boys in 2018! All bats used in 15U division & Dixie Majors division (age 15-19) will continue to require the BBCOR stamp. National Federation High School bats!

NON-BBCOR BATS PURCHASED BEFORE SEPT. 1, 2017 WILL NOT BE APPROVED FOR PLAY IN 2018 AND THEREAFTER. PARENTS & OTHERS SHOULD CAREFULLY CONSIDER THIS 2018 RULE BEFORE PURCHASING A NEW NON-BBCOR BAT FOR DIXIE BOYS PLAYERS FOR THE 2017 SEASON. BBCOR stamped bats will remain allowed for use in the 2017 season and beyond.
